Leadership Development Program
Leadership Development Program (LDP) is a state of art program for members who want to understand, learn, and experience the path of leadership. A maximum of 40 participants will be selected for this unique program. This 7-month program comprising of theory, workshops, mentoring, & assignments will empower a participant to acquire leadership skills not just for Toastmasters but for his/her professional career as well. If you truly believe in creating an impact as leader, LDP will provide you the playing field to hone your skills.
How is LDP different from the Toastmasters Leadership Track?
The Toastmasters Leadership Track slowly builds from Competent Leader to Advanced Leader Bronze and then to Advanced Leader Silver (ALS), where only at the ALS-level, as a district officer, an individual gets to truly experience the different dynamics of leadership. LDP is focused to help individuals develop traits such as Accountability, Decision Making, Teamwork, Negotiation, Knowledge, Attitude, & Problem Solving. These skills are tested during a Toastmasters journey as a Club leader, and more importantly as a District leader.
How does LDP work?
LDP will have training sessions through the months of September and February, followed by a final session cum graduation ceremony in the month of March In the training sessions, the participants will be trained for assignments that will expose them to deal and practice their learning in real time with issues or challenges at Club, Area, Division, and District-levels.
Note: LDP will not interfere with any of the current responsibilities that leaders at various levels are trusted upon with. LDP assignments are meticulously designed for participants to learn about the skills without causing any interruption to current District activities, at the same time aiding the participants to groom as future leaders across all levels.
